“Zoey’s chapter details much of the impact she’s had during her time at Concordia. In January 2014, Concordia became the first university in the state—and possibly in the nation—to “hire” a comfort dog as a full-time staff member. In 2018, Concordia purchased a second LCC K-9 Comfort Dog, Sage, to work with students in its newly launched animal assisted therapy certificate program (the first certificate of its kind offered in the state). . . .”
