“For the past few weeks I’ve been raving about country music publicist-turned-novelist John Schlimm’s soapy, fiction debut Twang. The novel about a scandalous, secret tell-all being penned about honky tonk duo The Field Sisters and Nashville royalty Thad Evans and Hope Tanner (threatening to reveal their most shocking secrets to their fans), reads like the pilot for a soap that could be called Desperate Nashville Wives. This got me to thinking, wouldn’t it be great if some of our daytime soap faves—many of whom happen to know a thing or three about singing a little “twang”—be perfect for a TV adaption of Schlimm’s book?”
